  WELCOME TO FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH!

           We are glad you have found us via the World Wide Web.  It would make us even happier to welcome you in person.  "First Pres" may surprise you.  The wind of God's Spirit is blowing mightily through this congregation and showing us new ways of being the church in the twenty-first century, new ways of thinking and doing theology, new ways of sharing our lives in Christ with each other and with the world outside our walls.

         We have lots of children and youth in our congregation, a cadre of wise elders, and many of us find ourselves somewhere in the middle.  We are indeed a church of and for all ages.  Our greater dream is to become a church of and for all people with no social barriers that often divide us from one another left standing.  We would love to have you join us if you live in or are visiting the greater Jamestown area.  All who hunger for a deeper experience of life and who thirst for a greater awareness of God's presence will find here companions for the journey.
