About First Presbyterian
OUR VISION
At First Presbyterian Church of Jamestown, our vision is to be a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone can experience and grow in God’s love and grace, and where we actively engage with and serve all people with compassion and generosity.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is clear: To love God, love one another, and love the world.
We embody the teachings of Jesus Christ by putting our faith into action through service, outreach and worship. We believe in the power of love to transform lives and to create positive change in our local and global communities. We welcome everyone, regardless of background or belief, to join us in our mission of spreading love and kindness in the world. In all that we do, we strive to live out this mission with humility, grace, and a deep sense of gratitude for the love that God has shown us.

SESSION MEMBERS
Our Elders are those who are called to “serve” the congregation and, with the minister, lead and govern the church as the Session. Elders attend to all the needs of a congregation—its worship, fellowship, mission, providing opportunities for spiritual growth and learning, taking care of the property and finances… in other words, seeing to the total care and keeping of the life of the congregation. Elders are elected by the congregation for a 2-year term.
